Larger than Life! #2

2 Corinthians 6:11-13

I want our church to matter to Western North Carolina!
If our church wasn’t here – would it matter?
If you weren’t here – would it matter?

We have options in front of us:  Let the river flow through us or become a stagnant pond.

Proverbs 11:24-25

Get a big, free, generous, happy, smiling, wants-to-bless-others spirit!  Not a small, stingy and holding-on spirit.

Generosity doesn’t decrease you - giving is an investment into your future. 

Notice – generosity and prosperity go hand in hand.  The generous man will be prosperous - not the prosperous man will be generous.

Generosity is what begins prosperity in your world.

Luke 6:38

Give and it will be given to you!  Give love, mercy, finances and help.  Give first – say the first hello! 

Sowing and reaping is one of the great governing laws of life.  Giving out - first - starts a harvest.

Seek to increase your standard of giving – not just your standard of living. 

By your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.

Proverbs 19:6

Every man is friend to a giver.  This isn’t about buying friendship – it’s about being a giver in relationship. 

Proverbs 22:9

It’s too small of a life to just want enough for me.

1 Timothy 6:17-19

God is not taxed to bless you.  It is not too much for Him to give you enough to bless others.

The purpose of being blessed:  to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous, and ready to share.

Generosity is rooted in God’s abundance.

Genesis 12:2

God’s promise to Abraham:  I am going to bless you, make your name great, so you shall be a blessing! 

We teach prosperity to enable generosity. 

God has no problems blessing you - He just doesn’t want the blessing to stop at you.

God is the source, we are the channel.  If God can get it through you, He’ll get it to you!
