Fearless #3

We've been talking about being fearless in a day when fear is in the air.

2 Timothy 1:7

Proverbs 28:1

Fear does not come from God. Courage, clear-thinking and thriving come from God!

There is no way you can live a positive life with a negative mindset.

Don't let fear run your life right now. Choose to let faith run your life.

Here's a few ideas from Genesis 26:

1. Life always works in cycles.

Genesis 26:1

Every person has to face summer and winter. There will be seasons of famine and seasons of prosperity.

Get this idea: if the sun is shining in the summer - don't throw away your winter coat! And if you're in the middle of the winter - don't throw away your shorts!  The sun will shine again!

Never allow a temporary situation to become a permanent condition. Don't doubt mountain-top revelations when you're walking through valley shadows.

This is why you need to live life from a secret place with God. You won't find perspective watching the news. Let God show you a higher perspective.

Psalms 37:25

2. A word from God can steer you through any storm or season.

Genesis 26:2-3

The best thing to do in a day of famine is to get a word from God.

You get a word from the Word of God. Keep exposed to the Word of God.

Make sure you are creating opportunities for God to speak to you.  You're more likely to hear a word from God in church, in the Word, than sitting on the couch.

2 Samuel 23

Eleazer fought with the sword until his hand froze to the handle.

Hold on to the word God has spoken to you until it freezes to you.

Fight with it - stand on that word - until it becomes a part of you!

3. Keep creating your future by sowing your seeds today.

Genesis 26:12

Fear can get you "locked up".

The law that governs life does not change in famine or prosperity. The law of seed time and harvest holds true at all times.

This is how it all works: keep sowing seeds.

Be intentional about sowing seeds toward the harvest you want.

4. God has a positive plan in the midst of every negative situation.

Genesis 26:13-14

You and I are confined to time and space - but God is not.

While verse one is going on - God has verse thirteen in mind.

God has a positive plan right in the middle of a negative situation.

As soon as Adam sinned - God started speaking about redemption.

God is in the process of creating new realities for you!

Don't settle for famine thinking as a way of life. Famine is not the end of the story!

5. Keep digging your wells.

Genesis 26:15-19

Don't you hate it when a Philistine comes and takes your well? It does bother some people when you're blessed.

It's not the will of God to just sit back and accept that your well got stopped up.  The enemy is trying to push you down  - But get back up again.

Genesis 26:20-22

When you are walking through Esek (contention) and Sitnah (enmity) don't get hung up at wells of contention and enmity - dig another well!

God has Rehoboth - wide open spaces - in mind.

Jesus preached and some people received him and others couldn't stand Him.

Dust off - move on - from people who don't want you around.

Go beneath the surface and keep digging the wells of prayer.

Stand up on a word of faith - believe in victory - that God is in control over your life!
